So, there I was watchin' a bit o' SNL. I was watching that skit with Jimmy Falon and the guest(this time it was the flagrantly gay guy from Will and Grace) as workers at some superhip clothes store. It was during said skit that I realized Jimmy Falon is a terrible performer. I mean, sure, he seems like a likeable chap, but the man has never gotten through a skit without cracking up. That's just not professional. Now, take a comic genius like Kevin Nealon, or Bill Murray. Those guys never even smiled while delivering some of the greatest comic lines ever. But this chump Falon can't even make it through a second-rate skit without losing control. A sad statement for the state of the once great Saturday Night Live.
Currently feeling: disappointed

The funniest SNL skits never make it past the censors. The ones that don't go as planned are the best. Like when mustache falls off, or people have to improvise because they can't see their lines.

You like the ones that are funny for all the wrong reasons, eh? I remember when I was in high school and we tried to do comedy plays, I would hate it when people laughed at stuff like that, and not the parts they were supposed to laugh at.

If you can't make it up on the spur, you don't deserve to be funny. Watch Conan.

No, I was talking about people laughing at guys forgetting lines, scenery falling down, mustaches falling off, you know what I mean?

But I agree, improvisation is key.

Jest I do not, per my own death would rather not come at the hands of a toaster, let alone Dennis Leary. For my opinion of him was once respectable, it has now been tarnished by "Double Whammy"- however, Suicude Kings has in in good company..so, not completely unacceptable

Most unacceptable. Toasters are your friends.

Unacceptable? Leary's weapon of choice in Suicide Kings? Surely you jest!

I just saw that skit, I agree- worthless- you should see the Christopher Walken episode- Hes great and all, but couldnt go 30 seconds without looking at the cue cards...sad sad story.

Yeah, well as the story goes, The Walken never reads a script. I daren't say an ill word against the Walken. Lest he find out and cause me pain.

Very true, I should not neglect such things. It was the writing, really, in that episode. They simply expected Walken to carry all the weight.

That's an understandable mistake. After all, it -is- The Walken.

Aw, man, I guess I shoulda read down a couple of entries and realized that you saw Walken yesterday. What a fool I am.
