Those of you who know us probably know that Nikki and I have very differing tastes when it comes to. . . everything. I have spent the last year and a half searching in vain for a band/song/sound that she likes. I've been trying to figure out her musical tastes, to mostly no avail. I figure that everyone must have some definable preference in music. But not her. Pretty much every band or song that I have ever liked, she doesn't. Well, I guess you could say that her tastes is directly reactive to mine. She pretty much hates everything(musically, literature. . ally, and movie. . .ally) that I like.

I can't say that I like all that much, so that means that there is alot of music that she might like. But everytime I've thought that she would like something, it turned out that she didn't. *sigh* This has been endlessly frustrating.

But, Thursday I finally did it. I found at least one song that she likes. And she likes it alot. I made her a cd with some songs that I thought she might like, but of course I was expecting the usual reaction. But she actually really liked one of them at least, probably most of them. I finally found it. Does this mean that I finally understand that savage mystery that is my girlfriend? Have I finally broken her enthralling code? Have I finally seen into the blistering depth of her heart?

Nope. But I'm still working on that.

It doesnt. But I mean, its still impossible.

At least when you get it wrong, you don\'t lose much in the sense that Nikki will always be there for you.
