Entries for October, 2006

According to my mother, who just celebrated her birthday, I haven't written in my journal in a while. I suppose that may be true. It's not like things haven't happened, or anything. On the contrary, things have been kind of hectic. I'll try to fill you in on a few things.

First off, I now have a pass to Disneyworld. Score! I know that a lot of people will have a hard time thinking of me as a Disney lover, but the parks are awesome. Everything is so well done, so intricate. It's especially evident in the queues before each attraction. They put so much effort into atmosphere at Disney, and it really shows. I remember just dawdling in the Tower of Terror, letting my eyes wander and taking in all of it. It's really neat. The queues really get you ready for the ride.

And yes, I still closed my eyes at the end of the Dinosaur ride at Animal Kingdom. Dude! It's scary! Leave me alone. Next time. . . next time. . . .

I got an 'A' in both my Editing class and my Film History class. Bonus.

Haley got me a signed copy of Something Wicked This Way Comes. SIGNED. By Bradbury himself. Yes. I soiled myself when I got it, I was so excited. I quickly turned to the signature, and it was perfect. It's exactly how it should be. Not clean or fancy. It is rushed, scribbled, intense. Passionate. Just like Ray himself. If you read his essays and his works, you can understand just how appropriate his autograph is. It's amazing. If you have a love of writing and books, then pick up a copy of his essays. They're amazing.

I bought a bunch of books, including the Doom novels. Oh, I also finally got ahold of Space: Above and Beyond. Best show ever.

Oh, speaking of awesome shows, Haley totally got me into a British sitcom called The Young Ones. Oh. Mygosh. It's the funniest show in the history of the planet. I love it.

Yeah, I'm still gaming. Yeah, I miss my folks.

I'm not dead, yet.

P.S. I cannot wait for Episode 2. Combine, beware

You know, he may have turned into a huge tool, but when Tom Cruise does action, he does it hard. He does it good.

Whatever, the Winnie the Pooh ride is the best ride at Magic Kingdom.

Shut up.
