Saving Private Sentry

I've never read a Stephen King novel before. But, last week, I was getting desperate for something good to read. I was wandering around the house and saw that there were a few of his books on the shelves. So, I picked up the uncut edtion of The Stand. Let me tell you, this thing is a monster. One thousand one hundred and forty pages(Whats the proper punctuation for spelling out numbers? Aren't there supposed to be a few dashes in there?).
It's actually pretty good. I'm fairly pleased. Because, if I had to read through nearly twelve hundred pages of suckitude. . . LAME. And, I have finished books that were really bad. The first, and usually only one, that springs to mind is Wither's Rain. That piece of junk was a like a fifteen-year old's fan fiction. Recently, however, Haley gave me another bad one to read: Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill. Number three on the best seller list. Wow. It's shocking how so many people can be wrong. It's awful. But, at least, it's good for a laugh at how pathetically the author wishes he was the main character, an aging rock god.
Anyway, yeah. The Stand is pretty good. How's Salem's Lot?
P.S. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was great.
P.P.S. Rest in Peace, Sydney Pollack

The Duskencleft sounds like a Susan Johnson-dirty word.

Like I told Haley, I need to get back into the habit of daily writing. My work as really suffered and gone downhill.
