Tomorrow is my last day of freedom. My last day of carefree screwing around. After that, I go back to school to pretend to learn some more shyte. Jerks.

I started reading Slaughterhouse Five again. I thought that maybe this time I would like it more, or it would make a bit more sense, but no. It still sucks. But at least I found out why I don't like it. I don't like it because there is no bloody emotion in it; Billy Pilgrim is a bleeding idiot. Bloody simple, stupid, and damn near soulless. It seems like the kid doesn't have a single thought the entire book. That's why I don't like it.

Hmmm....very sad. Slaughterhouse Five is a great novel. Maybe you are looking at it differently than I am. Its making a statement about war and the numbness and as you put it "lack of emotion" it so often holds. Try to take it not as literally and look deeper. Also, try reading (if you already havent) some of Vonnegut's other books. He is my absolute favorite. By the way, this is Julia's friend KC...hahha. I saw her reading your page and couldnt help myself.

I really can't agree with you. Nowhere in that stupid rambling, nigh incoherent drivel is there anything resembling a realistic, original or intelligent thought.

He doesn't make any statement about war. War is terrible, awful, bloody horrible. It's a fact, of course. But what the fook is Vonnegut trying to accomplish? He isn't saying anything no one else hasn't said, and has been said far more eloquently and with greater impact.

hmm...also, since you stole that first comment from a movie it seems you have no realistic, original or intelligent thoughts yourself. eh?

eh, not everyone has the same opinion! I still think you should give Vonnegut another chance. Try reading Cat's Cradle or Timequake...both are filled with the "realistic and intelligent" thoughts you seem to crave.
