One Bloody Last Day
Tomorrow is my last day of freedom. My last day of carefree screwing around. After that, I go back to school to pretend to learn some more shyte. Jerks.
I started reading Slaughterhouse Five again. I thought that maybe this time I would like it more, or it would make a bit more sense, but no. It still sucks. But at least I found out why I don't like it. I don't like it because there is no bloody emotion in it; Billy Pilgrim is a bleeding idiot. Bloody simple, stupid, and damn near soulless. It seems like the kid doesn't have a single thought the entire book. That's why I don't like it.

He doesn't make any statement about war. War is terrible, awful, bloody horrible. It's a fact, of course. But what the fook is Vonnegut trying to accomplish? He isn't saying anything no one else hasn't said, and has been said far more eloquently and with greater impact.
