I sometimes wish that I could be like everyone else. I sometimes wish that I could just bloody fit in. I wish that I could enjoy drinking and partying and all that junk. I wish that I could be like a regular college student. But I can't. Argh. Because I can't be like that, I've feel like I've lost alot of joy and fun that everyone else has. *sigh*

You have to find your own joy. Dont depend on others. I can sit and stare for hours at my fish. I derive more out of that than partying with playmates and rock video vixens/strippers. You have to find YOUR thing. That is all there is to it.

This is Mrs. Adams. I hope you don't mind me passing the time with your journal. I'm reading some of the ones on Keith's links. Anyway, You've got to get involved with a good Christian group. You'll find lots of people who don't party in the world's way, but yet lots of fun things to do. I know it's hard to just go to a new group, don't you know anyone involved? The first thing Sarah wants to do at Pitt, is find a Christian group. Don't know much about Pitt. I went to Penn State. But man, our group was awesome and I really grew. Meant my husband too. Being with the group made me feel as if the partyers were the odd ones, because most of my friends lived more like me. By the way, I started off college by joining 2 -3 frat parties and there was little comraderie there. The Lord had something better planned. God bless you!

There are a lot better things to do than party! It's better to know that now than realize it later.

Hey,

You sound just like a graduate student.
As a grad student, you are on campus with all these undergraduates who are "having fun" but as a grad student, you are more serious than they are, more dedicated to your life's work, and thus, unable to partake in the fun.

Thus, I suggest that you skip directly to grad school. You'll fit right in.

Yeah. Getting wasted Rocks. So do the meaningless hook-ups and the aftermath of a night that's been sooo fun. Ever wonder why it's called "Wasted"??? Cus the time's gone. You can't get it back. And the havoc it wreacks on your body? Oh yay talk about unhealthy. Not to mention that most people don't even like it. Most people only like it cus they can't get loose around others on their own. They can't even get a girl to like them--let alone kiss them--without their "liquid courage." People notice if you don't party. People think more highly of you. Trust me.
